Kinnaur -- where improved literacy is leading to dismal sex ratio!

By Vishal Gulati , Kinnaur, April 8 : Kinnaur's sex ratio has registered a fall. Not because of obvious reasons of female foeticide or a patriarchal mindset, but surprisingly due to improved literacy rate among women of this Himachal district.

Sidney Lumet, director of ‘Serpico,’ ‘Network,’ ‘12 Angry Men,’ dies at 86

Sidney Lumet, a versatile movie director who drew outstanding performances from many of the the screen’s greatest actors in such films as “12 Angry Men,” “Serpico,” “Dog Day Afternoon” and “Network,” died Saturday at his home in New York City. He was 86 and had lymphoma.
